- DyDx announce a major new upgrade, moving back to Ethereum from Cosmos.
- Circle announce a discontinuation of support for USDC on Noble, given the drop in issuance on the chain following DyDx's departure.
- Kava announce a sunset of their chain, and with it the end of support for USDT in Cosmos. Before all the USDT can be unwound, the kava bridge fails, and a depeg ensues.
- Some major infra chain launches from 2025, including Monad, drop out of the top 50 chains by TVL within 6 months of TGE.
- A host of legacy cosmos chains announce a sunset, including Stargaze (after a failed move to Cosmos Hub), Saga, Initia and Archway.
- ATOM annouces another pivot, and Cosmos EVM is back on the table for the chain.
- Bitcoin rallys to 150,000
- The BASE airdrop becomes the largest airdrop to date, surpassing HYPE and ARB. Users of the new invite only Base App are the majority recipients.
- Mantra, after rebranding from OM to MANTRA and moving from Ethereum to Cosmos, announce a move back to Ethereum and a whole new, better, chain is in the works.
